Bill's life as a working cinematographer has taken him on projects and life adventures to the far corners of the world. Projects that have ranged from corporate and documentary work to music videos and feature films and commercials.
For the last several years the focus has been on higher end commercials for broadcast and now increasingly the web. From a frozen hockey pond in Dawson CIty, Yukon for Home Depot to the Pacific beaches near Valparaiso, Chile for TM Bank - to all four corners of the USA and beyond - working for a diverse group of directors and clients such as Constant Contact, Leupold, Cabela's, Nebraska Lottery, Taco John's and others.
The commercial work covers a variety of styles from documentary slice of life, outdoor sports and lifestyle, fashion, testimonial, comedy and drama.
His experience with image capturing techniques ranges from helmet mounted GoPros to architecturally motivated practical interiors, large studio green screen sets, to small tabletop food. From his initial experience in the era of film he has embraced the latest electronic image capture formats.
While bringing his own style and vision to a project, a core motivation is that the best work comes from the collaborative effort. Not just with directors, producers and clients but also with the technicians and crafts persons that make up a film crew. It is a collaborative effort whose chief goal is to realize on screen the images a director has in mind to best serve the project and the client.
Bill is fluent in Spanish (via an early life in Colombia and Mexico) and welcomes projects shot in Latin America or for the Hispanic market.
